The Silverton Block Watch Association is auctioning off their Silverton Pig right now. This pig was bought in 2000 for $1000,00 and then spent $500.00 for an artist to make the pig into a Train. The pig has been at the Silverton Train station at Montgomery Rd and Parkview lane ever since. It is still in good condition, just needs some TLC. The Train pig also has an electric light that will light the way. The Village of Silverton got a grant to do some landscaping at Memorial sites in Silverton, one being at the train station, so we decided to go with another look. This pig would look good in a lot of locations, restaurants being one of them. The minimum bid is $500.00. The cost of a plain pig in 2012 is $3,500.00, without adding any art to it. Right now you can go on www.HAMILTONCOUNTYOHIOAUCTION.COM and make your bid. Look under Collectibles to find the Silverton pig. The bid will end on April 1st and the highest bidder will have to wait until the ground is hard and solid to remove. This will give you time to get the property your going to put the pig on, ready.
